I will admit, I already have two knife sets in my kitchen. One is old. I had it since I purchased my home years ago. The second I bought last year because I wanted something nice and updated. Now, I have a third set. Not because I'm greedy, but because I saw the style and description of the El Perfecto K knife set and I couldn't resist the chance to try it.
It is packaged in a gift box with handle and includes an:
8” Chef Knife
8” Slicing Knife
8” Bread Knife
5” Utility Knife

The knives are made of 420 grade 3Cr14 stainless steel, manufactured in China. I had no idea what that meant, but after visiting SpeedyMetals.com, I learned that "420 has good corrosion resistance to the atmosphere, foods, fresh water, mild alkalies and acids, steam, sterilizing solutions, crude oil, gasoline, and other similar corrosive media. The higher carbon content employed in 420 gives higher strength and hardness over stainless grades 410 and 416."
I like stainless steel appliances and cutlery. My knife sets have been pretty weighty, and that was one way I measured its quality and durability, but I appreciate the quality and medium weight of these knives. However, what initially caught my eyes is its design. They're completely different from any other set I've owned. The stand and knives have hollow interiors. However, the dots you see on the knives are not holes, they're faux perforated black dots. So if you were concerned about cleaning, have no fear!
NOTE: The El Perfecto K knife set must be hand washed and dried.
This is a good knife set if you're in the market. A nice addition to your kitchen cutlery, or to purchase as a gift!
