Meteor Shower Rain Lights

The first time I noticed meteor style decorative lights was last year. Trees that lined a plaza in the area were filled with them. It was a beautiful, majestic view, especially with the volume off and no background noise (see video).

Judging by its look, I expected it to be out of my budget and complicated to install. Little did I know they were meteor lights that would be incredibly lightweight with just 8 tubes each set that could easily be attached to more to create a full meteor light experience.

In my front yard, I have a huge Christmas tree (Norfolk Island pine) that is too big to decorate. We also have a wide tree that our previous landscaper shaped to resemble a bonsai tree and three palm trees. I always wants to decorate the trees or install red spotlights on each tree during the holidays since we are generally to lazy to hang lights off the gutters. The meteor lights are going to be a beautiful addition to the wide tree along with our landscape projector! Decorating done easy and I cannot wait to decorate the trees this year!

If you're familiar with hanging icicle lighting, these aren't much different in terms of design. But, since it's shorter in length and the lights are covered in long tubes, it's an easier design to handle.

No tangling of long cords or lights. The cord that separates each tube is about 14". The lights are waterproof, of course, but the plug is not. The cord for the plug is really short so be sure to purchase an outdoor extension cord that is long enough to reach the location you're placing these lights, without too much leftover cord which could be a hazard.
