Get It Started
Unfortunately the bulbs do not come with good instructions, so I had to figure it out on my own, but it's simple. To get the lights to start:
- Open up the middle section and remove the white paper so the batteries can be exposed.
- Reconnect bulb and batteries
- Depending on where you will be installing bulbs (car or bike), attach bulb to valve stem.
Initially I was going to rate these a 3 out of 5, because some of the lights took a little long to work. I pretty much drove down a few streets around the neighborhood getting the blue lights photo ready. One of the green bulbs chose not to participate in my blog post (I have to deduct a star).
Then I came across the white bulbs which are the ones that change colors. For some reason when I read that the package contained blue, green and multicolor I mistakenly thought they meant the variety of colors included in the package. This was soooo cool! As soon as I removed the little white paper from the battery and reconnected the bulb and battery, the multicolored bulb was very eager to show off its abilities. I didn't even have to drive for it to work, it was blinking in my hands, so I took photos and a video of it while my car was still parked in my garage. I'm trying them on everything. I rate these bulbs a 4!
In Florida, although they are not legal for regular street driving, I can use them at car shows and even some events (parades, etc). However, they can be used on bicycles, which is how I plan to use them because my ugly, plain bike could use some style!
