Hairstyles: Ever considered cutting your hair short?
November 29, 2012 by
After my brief write up of celebrities who changed their looks by cutting their hair short, I was a little more than curious to see how I would look with a funky new hair-do! Not only did I visit one of my favorite websites that offer "virtual makeovers", I played around with different hairstyles and make-up looks. This was a lot of fun!
For those of you who have no idea what I'm writing about, a virtual makeover is pretty simple to describe. It's a makeover you experience on the computer. You can upload your own photo or use a model who has similar features (skin tone / face shape) as you, then you use the tools on the website offering the makeover, to try different hair or make-up styles. There are many companies offering virtual makeovers (Avon, Mary Kay, Seventeen, Instyle, Amway, etc.). I chose these websites from the many available, because the models you can choose to represent yourself (if you decide not to upload your photo) includes women of all shades and ethnicities. My favorite (so far!) is available on TAAZ.com, but Mary Kay's comes in a close second.
TAAZ and Instyle are very similar, but I like the design of TAAZ better. A more diverse group of artists to choose from, as well as the hairstyles offered. Not to mention...they don't push only the more expensive make-up brands when referring which make-up helps you achieve the look you desire. If you're interested in doing the same...go into a room that is well lit, pull your hair back in a pony tail and keep your face as straight as possible! I took lots of risks, at least they're not permanent, lol. Which do you like? Comment below.
