I scrub myself very well with loofahs and an exfoliating body cloth when I shower. I also exfoliate my body weekly. This is crazy though!
I shower in hot water and I followed the directions and allowed my pores to open for about 10 minutes. I didn't give this 5 stars because I have the strawberry dots on my legs and this didn't do anything for it. But, this was GREAT at removing oils, dirt from my legs. It isn't sharp like a razor, so I was able to press it hard against my skin and move it upward and downward, scraping dirt off of me without worrying about being cut. It's embarrassing how much dirt, probably lotions I wear and only God knows what else that was that accumulated on this exfoliator. There was so much dark brown gunk on it, I was shocked and a bit freaked out. This was even after using my exfoliating bath cloth and body wash. I'm guessing, the oil I use doesn't come off completely in a shower, gets stuck in my pores and although it didn't remove the ingrown hairs, it removed everything else. Because of that, I will continue to use this often.
I used a honey/vanilla scrub, which along with this exfoliator left my legs feeling very soft. But I read the reviews for this and see that someone suggested using coconut oil with it to help with the skin issues, so I will definitely try that next time. I have coconut oil here, so in the next few days I will try it and update this review with the results.
