When I was a teenager, gold earrings and necklaces with name plates were in style. I never wanted one because I loved my name too much. I didn't want to risk the chance of someone else naming their child "after me" hahaha (I know, insane right?)! I liked it so much I felt as though I should have my name copywrited, then find a legal way to have everyone else with my name forced to change theirs, lol. There are NO other Aaronda's in the world is what I thought until I joined freaking Myspace. Then a year later when I found out about Facebook, the amount of Aaronda's there made me feel even worse. Ughhh, so much for that idea!

While browsing emails as I normally do every morning, I received one that included a necklace with a name plate in it, kind of like the one on the right. I guess it's because I now live in a small town in FL, that I had no idea this was still in style. I know styles from the 80's and 90s and even earlier have returned...but how did I miss this one? Can I blame the fact that a lot of the people in this area dress for comfort? I've seen people wear terry short sets for job interviews and felt really out of place wearing a nice skirt suit to church one time. "Come as you are" is literal here! Granted, I'm kept up to date by my mom, sister and cousins who still live in NY, but goodness gracious...if it wasn't for them commenting on my makeup, jewelry and sending me stuff, I'll be at a total loss. :)

They would never wear jewelry with there name on it, but how do you feel about it? If you had the opportunity to win a name plate, would you try to? What color do you prefer?

I've always had an attraction to Silver jewelry. Silver bangles are hot! But, I realized how nice Gold jewelry looks with my skin tone! The way it reflects off my skin is really cool for me to see (as you can tell, it doesn't take much to excite me)! But, the fine jewelry I own are all boring! So, you are more likely to see me in jewelry such as the ones in the photo gallery (I call them hot styles on a budget)! I really like tear drop earrings or round earrings that are not just simple hoops, like these styles from Jennifer Lopez and Apt 9.
